Oliver had his 9 month check up today and my ped started to go over carseats. She told me that recent studies show that kids are 5x safer rearfacing than forward and that she reccommends rearfacing until at least 2 or until they outgrow their convertible seat rearfacing :)

I told Simon had been rearfacing until 2 and I was so excited that she knew this :)

She even said she thought it would be the written rule very soon :)

Wow wow wow wow wow!!!!!! :cheerleader1:

After the 5 times safer article came out, there was another article that was like 'and peds need to be educated/educate their patients' article, I guess it's getting around! :boogie:

Julie,

Was the article posted here? Can I get a link to it. DD has her 1 yr appointment in June and I want to come with materials incase our Ped is still clueless (he was with DS--told me to go ahead a turn him around since he was just shy of 20 lbs and was 1 yr old--Of course, I listened to everyone here and not to him and DS was just turned around about 2 months ago--he will be 3.5 in May).
