I'm thinking about purchasing a PDA basically for calendar capabilities as well as an address book and to store some photos.
I'm clueless as to what to look for.

Any suggestions?

ETA I know I want an SD card slot and I don't need Bluetooth capabilities!

To be quite honest, I was disappointed in my last Palm. Both my MIL and I got ours around the same time and they both died far too soon.

That said, if you don't need a lot of bells and whistles, just go for their most basic model. I believe that if you go to their website, they have a comparison chart. You can also check out cnet.com for reviews.

If you're an iPod user and interested in taking it a step further, you might consider an iPod Touch or an iPhone. I was looking to combine all of my gadgets into one (and lighten my bag!) and went for the iPhone. My MIL got herself a Touch. We're both extremely satisfied.

HTH!
