My microwave died last night!!! I really depend on that thing so I want to go out tomorrow and get one. I checked Consumer Reports but their ratings don't jive with reader reviews (I know that most people write then are unhappy).

Do you have one? Do you like it? Has it been reliable? Thanks!!!!

I have this one:

The $250 GE. There is no reason whatsoever to spend one dime more. It's excellent. I've had it over two years now. We use it very often and I have not one complaint. It cooks evenly. The vent is efficent. I love the light under it (I didn't realize how helpful that would be). What's funny is my mom has nearly the same one. She had it put in when she did her kitchen 15 years ago. It's still going strong, although you can tell a difference in the quality. Her oven was made in the US, mine in Malaysia. Her's feels realy solid when you close it, mine sounds hollow. For $250 I can live with that, though I do wish, and would have paid more for it, if it was made in the US. I am a consumer reports freak and found their reviews of these products to be totaly useless - so don't worry about that.

We have a GE Profile and are happy with it. It has two racks you can put in so that you can heat up 5 plates at once....which we have never done LOL We did have one problem, though. We had the first one professionally installed and literally within hours it stopped working and then made a horrible grinding sound when it was on. We returned it and then installed the next one ourselves and haven't had a problem with it in almost 2 years. Probably just a fluke.

We have this one: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=7643213&type=product&id=1134697775488

We put it in a year and a half ago and it has worked very well. Can't comment on long term use, but so far it has been great.

Just bought one on sale there in Dec, doing fine! Everyone will want to change $100-$150 for installation. They said you "could" do it yourself. We were going to, but our electrician was at the house doing something already so we had him do it for $75.

We are Kenmore people, great experiences with other aps. We went to the store, bought it, put it in our car and lucked out on getting it installed right away. The one feature I wanted was a light under it and a fan, not all have them.

We have that one also. It was SUPER easy to install it fit exactly on the bracket of the GE one it was replacing. I think we got it on sale at best buy for 229ish

we have this one and we love it! it also has a convection feature which is really convenient. it is super sleek and really nice looking! we got ours at sears because they price matched home depot's price and give 10% back on the difference which was nice because home depot's sale price is just if you buy online.
