I am in the market for a Britax Roundabout and I wanted to check with Britax regarding when they started making RF to 35lbs seats (since the old seats only went up to 33lbs). The CS rep told me that all their RAs are tested up to 35lbs even though the label says only up to 33lbs RF. To confirm, I asked her if I can put a 35lb child in a 33lb labeled seat and she said "yes." Is this true?

I can't believe she's still saying this :32: It may technically be true, but honestly, a CS rep shouldn't be going against their own manuals so blatantly, it opens a huge door of liability for them. On the other hand, most kids are way too tall to rearface in the Roundabout well before they are 33 pounds, so I doubt anyone's misusing it that way that much. (it rarely fits kids beyond age 2 before their heads are within an inch of the top of the seatback, about 25ish pounds). The Marathon is much taller and fits kids for rearfacing up to age 4 if they are light enough.
