Britax Parkway installation question

This is my first experience so please don't laugh . Is Britax Parkway supposed to attach to the car in any other way other than over DS' lap and shoulder? According to the manual that's the way to install it :eek:. I already miss safety of a convertible but DS grew out of his Cosco 'travel' seat and I am not about to lug anything heavier/bigger for our trips.

No, it's not secured to the car. No LATCH.

Thank you for your prompt reply. It is nice to know that I am not an idiot :loveeyes: but ouch on the lack of LATCH for Parkway booster.
