I'm an idiot

I cashed a cheque from DH today (he got a tax refund, I had to pay taxes, so I "got" his refund). Except, it had no date on it (because I wrote it out for him, had him sign it in advance, but didn't date it b/c I didn't know when he would be getting his refund). So, the cheque will be non-negotiable and will set off a cascade of @#$%^ with my chequing account.

I'm an idiot. All I had to do was READ the cheque and insert a date. I'm an idiot.

I hate banking.

Can you go to the bank and give them a heads up? I did that once before, and it all worked out just fine, since there was a note on the account about my error. It was BMO, too, so I was shocked that they could help me. I think going in and talking to someone made a huge difference over a phone call.
