position of car headrest?

My old car did not have adjustable headrests so I just wedged the decathalon in there and it fit fine. But my new car has adjustable headrests, so should I keep them all the way down or move them up?

Whichever interferes the least with the tether and the seat. Sometimes I just take mine out. (Some car manuals say take them out, or how to run the tether over or under them, too, might want to take a look-see at the carseat section).

I took out the ones that were in the way. Toyota Prius.

I seem to wind up taking mine out (VW Passat, Camry, Prius) with both MA and Radian.
