I saw them at Bergstrom's in Anaheim, CA, for around $195. They are listed at retail on their website, but I think that's because Stokke has a minimum advertised price.

Over 30 years ago, my parents loved this high chair but could not afford it. So my dad quickly sketched the design and made it. If you are slightly handy with wood or know someone who is, building one yourself is certainly a possibility.

Also check out your local freecycle (www.freecycle.org) to see if one is offered, or post as "wanted."

Freecycle is great for just about anything baby. Plus it gives you a chance to do some networking with local parents.
