Has anyone heard about the safety/benefits of using nursery water to reconstitute formula?

There is no need to use this. You can check the safety of your local tap water at the environmental working group site (www.ewg.org). Unless there are problems with your water, I wouldn't bother with it or any bottled water for that matter.

You could also just use a decent filter for the water - Brita or Pur make filters that remove much of the problematic additives and other undesireable ingredients of tap water.

I think it's terrible that companies market this to unsuspecting new parents!!!

We use it for DS who is 14 mo. Our local water doesn't have fluoride, so it's either the Nursery Water or fluoride drops, and ped recommended the Nursery Water. We never used it with the formula though.
