So my mother in law wants to buy a car seat for our toddler (I'm due to have our second in a week and they'll be taking care of DD#1). My first thought was to have her get a Cosco Scenera like what we have in DH's car. But then I realized that in a year, DC#2 will be out of the infant seat and into DD#1's Roundabout, so we'd be buying a bigger seat for DD#1 anyway (and possibly a bigger car!), and maybe we should just get a Britax Marathon now.
The problem is, I haven't researched any of these seats in about 2-3 years. I think there are new Britaxes out there?? And maybe the Scenera's not one of the better "cheapy" seats anymore?
So looking for some quick advice as they want to buy TOMORROW and we'll install on Sunday. She drives a Camry, and DD#1 is 2-1/2 years old, 35 inches tall and about 29 pounds (I'd like to have her RF; she still is in DH's Forester and we only moved the Roundabout FF in order to get both the infant seat to also fit in my Saturn).
Any help greatly appreciated!!
