AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! My hands have been burning for 5 hours now. I wore gloves to deal with the poison ivy, and then I got nettled when I did not expect it. Stupid garden next to the stream.

Amonia! Amonia in any form you can get it will help break down the caustic part of the "sting". (Apply it topically, of course. Do not ingest!)

And for later, Benadryl gel may be helpful. (The gel works better on poison ivy and such for me than does the cream.)

Meat tenderizer would probably help too, by breaking down the plant enzymes that cause the burning reaction. Apply topically and liberally.
