I am about to make the jump form the snugride to the marathon. almost 10 months, the time has come. anyhow, i;m totally clueless. i'm putting it in in a Camry, rear facing. i was planning in using the LATCH, but ten someone told me the seatbelts are better- is this true? also, do i need to use the tether? thanks for any advice

Neither seatbelts nor LATCH is safer. The best is the one that lets you get the best installation. Also, if you're putting the MA in the center, you may not have LATCH for that position. Someone else will know that.

It's recommended you use the tether. Just find a nice place to wrap the short strap with the D-ring around and you'll be good! I don't have a Camry, but mine is around the leg of the seat track of the front passenger seat. The tether helps you get the seat to the angle you want, too. No need to use rolled towels or anything.

Good luck!
