What's the most you've paid at the pump?

I hit my record high today of almost $67.00. I was feeling sicker and sicker as the ticker crept up, but I know gas around here isn't nearly as high as some other places.

So, how much have you paid to fill up?

It was about $87.

We have a SUV (18 gallon tank) and live in Seattle ($4+ per gallon).

Needless to say we do a lot more walking and errand combining.

I do not commute, so luckily I fill up every 2 to 3 weeks. But I have an SUV and I spend close to $70 each time.

To fill my FIL's Jeep on vacation (from 1/2 full) was around $40. :irked:

Hmm. I guess I shouldn't complain too much. Around here about $70 to fill up, has stayed at $3.74/gallon for about a week now. Of course, now that the fuel light on the van has been flashing for the past day, it will shoot up 50 cents before I can get it to the station.

$66 to not quite fill up a Camry. Gas is $4.25 a gallon in lower Westchester, NY.

We're in CA and it costed $98 to FILL the tank of our SUV this week. We're getting rid of it soon...I swear.

$4.15/gal for regular. It was $70.49 for a fill up but I was on empty in my Camry.

Well when I lived in Belgium we paid between $6 and $7 a gallon. From what I understand it's closer to $10 a gallon there now.

Here in Dallas it's right below $4 a gallon. We traded in my SUV last summer for a hybrid and haven't looked back. I spend just over $30 every other week.

I hit almost 53 at over 4.00 a gallon. i have a rav4. at least i don't commute anymore and work and dd's school are within miles of each other. i fill up about every 1.5 to 2 weeks. so freaking depressing.

I filled about 3/4 of my van tank yesterday and it was $70 - $4.17/gal. That was the cheapest station I knew of. Most of them were $4.22 or $4.25. DH spent $25 at $4.25/gal for about 1/2 a tank for his Wrangler. All regular. Blech...

3.80ish is the highest i've personally paid for 87 octane. In recent days I've seen more and more stations with prices hovering around 3.90 to 4.00 for regular here in NC.

DH drives to a park and ride lot. It only saves a few miles, but he at least drives a Corolla that gets about 35mpg. I rarely drive during the week, and we consolidate most of our errands into one day during the weekend.

Does anyone ever check www.gasbuddy.com? You type in your zip code and it tells you the best gas prices in your area. My husband checked it regularly even before the crazy gas prices started! My usual gas station was at $3.97 today - I paid $3.99 last weekend. Maybe I should go top off my tank before it goes up again!

I live in Alberta, a major oil and gas producing province in Canada, and we pay about $4.95 per gallon (in Canada we go by litres and pay $1.30/litre - roughly 3.8 litres to a gallon). Talk about OUCH! :(
