My dd and ds are in Britaxes (Marathons or something similar) but DD is about to grow out of it by shoulder height(she will be 6 in august, weigh 55); dS still has room (he is 4, weight 45 but he is tall)

what is the next option for keeping the kids harnessed? My kids sleep in the car too if that makes a difference. We have the kids in the captains chairs in an Odysey....

thanks

Regents would be the longest harnessing options, but Frontiers or the Graco Nautilus are a little taller for harnessing then what you have, and have the bonus of becoming really good booster seats when you are ready for that...all depends how serious you are about extended harnessing :)

Diff. between the Regent and Frontier? Yes, the harness height.. I guess they list the Regent at 19.1 inches, and the Frontier at 18.25 (normal people measuring typically get about 19.5 for the R and 18 for the F in real life, though).

but DD has all her height in her torso...sigh

that having been said, what is the harness height in the Bpuilevard (that is what is is just about out of now at 6)...I guess I would like her to stay harnessed longer than shorter but at some point I guess I would live with booster mode (after 7/8)

Boulevard is slightly shorter than the Marathon... Nautilus is about 18.5, but isn't a Britax... but it's good... Safeguard Child Seat (not the Go, but the big seat) is about 19 inches, too :)

And just for information's sake, I've seen some 8 yo's still harnessed in the Frontier, though they may be shorter torsoed...but still, that's a good sign :)

IF she's 6 and just now outgrowing the BLVD then she'd most likely make it to 8 in the Frontier.

We went from the Marathon to the Regent and I am SO glad we did! We've had a Roundabout, Marathons, have Boulevard for younger DS and now Regents for the older DS. I definitely would go with the Regent - it's such a nice seat with LOTS of growth room. My oldest DS is 5 1/2 and nearly 47" tall.
