View Full Version : Flexible Spending Question?

My DH is doing his flexible health care spending election and I have been trying to figure out the answer to it. His work gives us a credit card to use to pay for any health care related expenses. We've used it to pay for DS' occupational therapy when it wasn't being reimbursed by his insurance company. However, now the insurance company will reimburse us for $95 for the $115 visit. So in essence we only pay $20 copay. So my question is, can I still use the flexible health care visa card to pay my occupational therapist or is that consider double dipping since they are reimbursing me anyway. I'm so confused about this.

Thanks

You can use it to pay the $20 co pay, but not the whole thing... unless you do not submit it to insurance for the $95.
