How does the Compass folding booster compare safetywise with the newer more sophisticated boosters?

I have this as a spare seat. I need to move my 4 year old into a booster for summer (we're in and out of the car so much and with camp pick ups, we need the ease of a booster) but I'm wondering if this is safe enough while I pick out her official booster seat (picking between Britax Monarch, Jane Indy Plus, or Recaro Viva lite). Or should I wait until we have received a new, more modern seat.

Thanks!!!

Depends which model you have. The B500/B505 have fairly small headwings and they wouldn't be my choice for an everyday seat.... but I would use it while I shop around for something with better headwings, yup. If you have the B510, I'd keep using it, no worries, it's got much better side impact protection than the others :)
