All E.L.F. is being repackaged, so everything is on sale for $1.00! Coupon code CAROLINA you will get $7.50 off your first $15 of your purchase or 50% off if your order is under $15. Haven't tried the code, but thought I'd pass on the great deals!

Has anyone used this makeup? A friend sent me this, so I have no idea about it. Please let me know if it's good makeup and I'll order some. At these prices, even if I don't like the color, it's no big deal! Maybe I'll go to Nordstrom and check it out IRL.

Here's a previous thread about it just for reference... I've never tried it, personally.

I am pretty sure this is not really nordstrom makeup....I bought some of this during a previous sale (everything was 50 cents). When my order arrived, a good portion of it was missing, they scribbled "out of stock" in pencil on my order sheet, and that was the end of that- no backordering etc. Of the products I did receive, the lip products, eye liners and lip pencils were not bad. The mascara was awful. nail polish remover did not work. the mineral eye shadow was fine, but nothing like Bare Minerals- it did not glide on as smoothly.

for a buck, it's not bad, but I don't think it's department store quality either.

This has been going around for a few years. ELF makeup is always $1. I don't think it's actually being repackaged at all, and I doubt Nordstrom will carry it. Supposedly you can find it at Target, but my local Target doesn't carry it.

If it means anything, I just did a store search from their site and all that came up was Big Lots.

It's definitely not Nordstrom make-up and their make-up is always $1.00. They also are always having some sort of sale or discount on shipping when you spend so much or a special when you buy a certain amount of product. I've used some of their products in the past, and they're not bad. It's a great way to try a new look, or the look of the season, without spending a ton of money.

Another plus is that their make-up brushes are also always $1.00 so it's great for travel if you don't want to bring your expensive brushes with you.

Yeah, I posted about this "deal", a while back also. Still a great bargain, but just not affiliated with Nordstrom.

Nordstrom had issued some fraud alert about how it is in no way affiliated with E.L.F.

OK...too funny! I should have known not to trust an e-mail like that. When I told DH about it, he said "Are you sure it's Nordstrom makeup or is it some scam?" Well, it's not really a scam, but not true either. I wondered if I might get replies like this as I was not totally convinced, but wanted to share the deal "just in case" it was for real. Glad you all set me straight. Now I have to try and get in touch with the girl from work that I told and set her straight. She was so excited!

Thanks again!

I bought a bunch of their makeup a year or so ago when I got the "big sale email"

I like their brushes and lip gloss

some of their products are scented and have an orange or grape smell (both of which I don't like) - but other than that, their makeup was not bad.

here is a link to the snopes site with the info
