NYC moms: Need advice in where to buy new mattresses, furniture, and baby stuff

We just moved from CA and need to buy all new furniture. We thinking about getting majority of stuff from Ikea, Elizabeth NJ. I am wondering whether there are any local stores where we can get quality and affordable furniture.

Also, where are good stores for baby stuff? We live in manhattan.

I'm not there but I think that the Buy, Buy, Baby chain has some good stores in Manhattan.

Also check out any local flea markets within a reasonable distance. People like to unload items during spring cleaning.

Schneiders and Albee baby are very good.
If you can drive, however, I recommend Kiddie World Outlet without reserve.

I don't know if there are any in Manhattan, but out here on LI there is a chain called Raymore and Flannigan. They have all sorts of furniture, including mattresses, and deliver in 3 days.
