Hi all-
Hannah arrived on Saturday morning at 12:43 am. She was 7lbs 14 oz and 21 inches long. I'll add the story and pictures later.
ETA to add birth story, no pictures on my computer yet, hopefully soon!
On Thursday, I started having serious back labor, and after losing most of my plug on Tuesday decided to call the office, they told me to go to the ER, so we went, had 5 hours of little progress, but hey, we got to watch the US Open LOL- they sent us home so I could sleep for a few hours.
On Friday, after a few more hours of harder contax, I called the office again around 3pmish, and back we went, luckily I had gone from 1cm, 30 % effaced to 2cm, 90% effaced. I told DH we weren't going home this time. :) So, we settled into 9 hours of labor, (lots of birthing ball and jacuzzi) until my water broke on its own at 8cm, then it only took 10 minutes to get to 10cm and 5 minutes of pushing.
Luckily, they let us go home 8 hours early, so I could go home and not sleep, as opposed to eating more hospital food and not sleeping, as I got 2 doses of antibiotics(I was GBS+) before she was born, and her bilirubin was good, my doc had no problem with it.
The nurses were great, and DS, my mom and grandmother got to visit Hannah for a few minutes on Saturday, DS is very good with his sister, and aside from ocassional meltdowns is adjusting to big brotherhood pretty well.
