I forgot to add vanilla in a batch of brownies. Can I do something to fix it? Maybe brush some lightly on top to be absorbed? Make a runny icing and add vanilla?

I'm so annoyed with myself.

Thanks.

I wouldn't worry about it. I'm sure they will taste delicious. :)

I wish they did, but they taste flat. It is amazing what a difference vanilla makes.

Thanks for the vote of confidence though. :)

I would try chocolate frosting. It never hurts :) Or melt chocolate chips and spread-that's really good. Or spread peanut butter over it and then melted chocolate chips, even better....

And, ice cream... and hot fudge....

Frosting sounds like an easy fix. You can always mix in the missing amount of vanilla... perhaps a bit less, since you won't bake the frosting...

I'm about to make these the highest calorie brownies ever... They already have a ton of butter and lots of Ghiradelli. I'm off to try to fix them :)

Thanks everyone!
