I might need to do some testing at home since I am on bedrest for high-risk pregnancy, and was wondering if any of you had had to buy a home kit of the urine dip sticks. What is it called? I checked with my local CVS pharmacy but they only have single testing for either ketones, glucose, or protein, nothing else, and not in a combo. Where else are they sold, and do you need a prescription? Thanks a bunch!!!

Don't know if this helps but I found this at drugstore.com: http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=37684&catid=11645&trx=PLST-0-CAT&trxp1=11645&trxp2=37684&trxp3=1&trxp4=0&btrx=BUY-PLST-0-CAT

I would also recommend asking your Midwife/NP/RN/MD what he recommends. He may be able to write you a prescription so you can put it on your insurance. :)

most OB offices buy them by the case- each container has about 100 in them- you may be able to get a bunch from them if you are having trouble finding them elsewhere. esp if you are only testing a couple times/week.
