Frontier Tether question

When in harness mode what do I do with the tether for use in a car without anchor points?
It seems the tether storage clip is on the reclining block, but the reclining block would now be in the forward position.
I do not have the seat in front of me but am trying to tell my aunt how to install it in her car and don't know what to do with the tether. Can I just let it hang between the back of the Frontier seat and the car seat?

Am I making any sense?

She could try lengthening the tether enough to keep it attached with the recline block in the forward harnessed position. If that doesn't work then tucking it behind the seat is fine. As long as it's not flopping around, it shouldn't be a problem.
