It is interesting, and good stuff. Did you see the comment at the bottom of the interview page? The reader was talking about a podcast by Steven Levitt. Have you seen in? What do you think of that? I can't imagine how someone could say that a 3 pt seatbelt is safer for a 3 year old than a 5 pt harness.

The Freakanomics "research" by Steven Levitt is not something I would base the safety of my child on. His popular press articles have been refuted by peer reviewed articles from researchers at CHOP.

I posted in response...yeah, CHOP has definitely refuted Freakonomics (which based their 'study' on crashes that only included deaths (not the millions of crashes with injuries), and did lame little frontal impact--easy to pass, not nearly as deadly as side impacts-- crashes with immobile dummies (we all know 3 yo's don't sit still, and DVD players and DVD's, which they recommend for making kids sit still, cost WAY more than carseats, so what kind of economist IS he???)

Kids sit still for DVDs? Good grief I wish a certain little boy whose name rhymes with Moby had gotten THAT memo!
