Pool noodle - do I trim it down?

I watched the video, searched the forums for more Scenera info, and I am now about to install my new Scenera in the Camry with the pool noodle.
Question- how much do I trim it down? Should it be just a bit wider than the seat base but still short enough to fit between the seatbelt? I am worried I will cut it too short.

It should be about the length of the seat base - definitely short enough so that it doesn't interfere with your LATCH/seatbelt (whichever you are using to install). I think that the noodles that are already cut in my car are about (maybe slightly longer) the length from my wrist to my elbow.
