DH had leukemia and testicular cancer 15 years ago. He's done really well, but I think that his health has been slipping a little the last 6 months. Today they did a chest x-ray and found something in a lymph node on/in/near his lung. He goes for a CAT scan next Tuesday.

I'm scared - for the boys, most of all.

Oh Lori,

I know all too well what it's like for DH to be sick (in fact, my own is in the hospital recovering from emergency surgery Monday night). The one person you depend / need most of all is somewhat unavailable as support / comfort b/c of the illness - and it is SO hard on the kids! My little one is way too young to get it, but DS 1 is too old to miss it but too young to really understand!

I hope your DH is fine and this is merely a "scard" - be good to yourself and think positve thoughts!

Thank you everyone for the good thoughts and kind words. I'm much calmer now, and we're just waiting. The CAT scan is this afternoon, and his dr wants to see him next week but the staff say that there are no openings until the end of July. So who knows when we'll know more - but I guess if it is bad, they won't wait too long to tell us.
