Question for BJCSM single owners

Just got mine today and I'm so excited.

But I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong: I have a very average sized 10 month old, and putting the straps on the lowest setting (he's upright) I have to tighten them the entire way and it's still not even what I would call super snug.

How on earth would this work with a smaller baby? (Which is what makes me think I'm doing something wrong.)

(FWIW, mine also arrived with a defective fold strap -- they're sending a new one but I'm wondering if this is a common problem.)

I have never tried to make my City Mini's straps super snug. Just enough to keep him from falling out.

No, I didn't mean that I'm trying to make them super snug.

I mean they're tightened about as tight as they can and they're still not that tight on an average-sized ten month old...so how could you get them small enough for a littler baby?

I just wondered if somehow I wasn't doing it right...
