Quick question - frozen steak but plastic wrap punctured - still OK

I had steak in the freezer, but the plastic wrap covering the package has holes in it - probably from moving it around to get to otherthings. So, the steak has little ice crystals on it. I was going to thaw and use a steak rub for a BBQ. Can I still do that, or should I use it for something else. Can freezer burn affect taste etc?

I'd still use it, but I'd probably marinate it.

I'm defrosting it, and I'll see what it looks like then, hopefully I'll just have to trim a few bits off. I've got a marinade that is red wine, garlic, rosemary and pepper - I'll use a bottle of the good wine for the marinade and pour myself a glass at the same time. Hopefully, the steak will be fine. It's too $$ to not use!

Drink enough red wine and the steak will taste fab, LOL!
