View Full Version : Recommed a Durable Bean Bag Chair?

I did a search, and it looks like it's been about a year since there was a thread on this topic, so....

My mom wants to buy a nice bean bag chair for my son for his 3rd birthday. My older son has the PBK Anywhere Chair and it has not held up very well (it's all out of shape, saggy arms, and so on--any help for this?).

It looks like most of the kid's stores like PBK, The Company Store Kids, etc. charge about $100 for one, which we don't mind paying if it's really going to hold up well. We'd probably be willing to spend even a little more if we could buy something that will last for quite a while and will fit him as he gets bigger.

Does anyone have suggestions as to a nice, durable bean bag? Probably with just a plain-ish cover (either denim or twill)?

TIA!

We have the PBK one (got a screamin' deal at the outlet on it) and LOVE it. DC use it all the time (seriously every day) as a seat, toy, weapon, building material, stepstool, etc. We've had no problems with it at all. The beans in one of them have compacted a bit more than I was expecting, but it's still really comfy (I sit on it sometimes) and DC haven't complained at all. It's totally worth the $$, especially if you can find one at the outlet!

www.companykids.com (http://www.companykids.com) has good stuff and I love my Lands End bean bags--not chairs.

We have a couple from Land Of Nod that are almost 2 years old and they are in great shape. We love them!

I haven't tried these personally, but celebrities and designers love these bean bags.
