We just got a Britax Marathon, Brooke fabric, at Target for 189.99.

Where did you go? I went to a Target store near Boston and the Marathon still scanned at $270..

I bought the carseat at a Target in Tucson, AZ. It was on clearance.

It's totally random. I called several different Targets, and some had the Marathons on clearance, some didn't. Even the clearance prices were different. Crazy Target pricing! You just have to call around and be patient.

I did manage to snag a Marathon in Graystone for $139!!! The Brooke was still at full price at $270. This was in the Manteca, CA store.

I'm in Milwaukee, so not that far from you. We have 12 Target stores b/w the city an suburbs. I called 5 stores and found a $188 and a $135, both Graystone. The store with $188s had 2 florals as well. I purchased both Graystones last night and drove to another store in hopes of finding another $135 and found one for $220 or $229.

It took maybe 40 minutes to call the stores. I'm going to make a few more calls this morning just to see if there's any other $135 Marathons within a reasonable drive.

I called one nice Target and asked them to see if other stores had them. They are able to check the stock/prices at other stores in the area.

The only store in my area that has them for a pretty good price is the Apex, NC. As of just now, they have 2 Brookes at $188. I don't want or need them, so I hope someone can use this info!

There was one Brooke marathon at the Plymouth Meeting PA Metroplex Target at 6:00 tonight for $188. HTH! I got the one graystone there for $188.

Wish we could wait till Target dropped them to $134... but each store only had 1 left... so I doubt these targets will drop the price =)

I scored a graystone Marathon for 134.99 in the Lino Lakes SuperTarget 2 days ago. Roundabouts were on the shelf for 109.99. It would be worth checking out other Target stores in the Twin Cities area for similar deals. Good Luck!!

Mom said she went to Target (southern california) again today to pick up some other items and saw the marked down clearance price for 134.98, but there were no graystones left on the shelf... snag them while you can... even though mine was 189, I'm glad it wasn't full price =)

I just bought a Britax Marathon with the Brooke material at Target in southern Connecticut. We paid 188.99 :) Thanks everyone my DD is just about ready for the switch from the snugride.

DS has 2.5 years in his marathons riding in comfort and safety.


Never mentioned this here, but we were in an accident. Road construction brought the car in front of me to stop, I stopped too, but the car behind me didn't. The man was to busy looking at the road work. I watched him through my rearview mirror looking at the site. He waved at the workers. I realized he wasn't slowing down. He hit my little dodge neon and pushed us into the car in front of me. My DS was in his Britax roundabout sleeping (rear facing). I got minor whiplash. My niece got a seatbelt bruise. My son just got woken up. Went to the hospital from the accident, and then the pede the next day. No signs of harm. Car was old so it was to much for insurance to repair, so the neon was totaled. Our Britax performed flawlessly thank God. Now we have Marathons and I feel confident in my DS and DD's safety. Went to court and his insurance fought it, they lost after 1.5 years of games, Now I drive a Honda Odyssey. Love it.

I got a Graystone for $134 too! I think some of the seats are priced based on manufacture date. The ones manufactured 1/07 are $134 and the ones 9/07 are $188. My baby is only a month, but I figured at that price even if she gets one year of use out of it, it was a great deal

By the way, I recommend skipping the Roundabout and going straight to the Marathon. They grow out of the Roundabout to fast.

Any sightings for a gender neutral marathon in Target in No CA?I'm not sure if you consider Modesto "Northern California," but I called there last week, and they had a Graystone MA for $188. You might want to call to verify before you drive out there first.

chicago mamas, i was at target today on addison and sacramento, and they had 2 brooke MA's for 188.

I just got back from the Marlborough MA store. They didn't have any Marathon boxes that I could see, and the display models were all off the shelf (only Brooke on display; no Graystone in sight). They had a big 30% clearance section with a few Companions (couldn't see the price), an EFTA (couldn't see the price), and a few Maxi Cosi Priori seats for $99 (down from $199). There was also a Scenera, Comfortsport, and other seats that I usually ignore. ;)

I asked about Marathons but they just pointed me to the clearance section. It sounded like there were none in box available for purchase.

Have been wanting to get BM for 9mo DD but cost was prohibitive. After reading recent posts, called my nearest Target (Davenport, IA--there are 4 within an hour's distance) and they had one clearanced for $135. Drove there immediately and put it in the cart. Expected it to be gray or brown, but it was Brooke fabric!--even better. (Target web site has same seat listed at "discoutn" price of $270 instead of $280.) And with a mnf date of 12-07, it will last till DD is about 6yo. Used a $25 gift card and only paid $120, incl tax!! :boogie:

I got exceptional safety and an affordable price, and DD will get cute, comfortable car seat for many years. Thank you!!

Thanks to all you sending out the word of car seats.... after calling a few Targets in the Portland area, I snagged 2 MA for my husband and I (one in Graystone for hubby and Brooke pattern for mommy's car) and my mom also got a MA for grandma's car (she got one in Brooke too!!). The Marathon should carry our daughter well into her toddler years (and maybe even the next child too!)

It was interesting that some Targets had clearance prices of 188, while others were 229-a little weird, but hey, I"m not complaining!

Found my deals at Target in Portland, Oregon. They still had Graystone seats (for 188.98) at the Tanasbourne Target store at 185th, along with other great deals- like 75 bucks on a FP high chair (I just used some gift cards at BRU and got mine for 110 about 1.5 weeks ago :(.....

The Bedford Target, NE Ohio, has one Marathon, Brooke fabric (looking for greystone, if anyone wants to trade!) for $134.99.

Bit of a late update, but last week my wife called around Chicago and found prices ranging from $189-229. The $189 price was at the Peterson location. A friend stopped to check for us, and they only had Pink. Fortunately another friend in Beaver Creek, OH was able to pick up a graystone for us, and even delivered it as part of a planned trip our way.
