Pali dresser gliders?

My husband and I decided to go with the Carrigan collection by Pali. I have a question about the gliders. When we were opening and closing them they didn't glide very smoothly. It could be because they are empty. Anyone with experience with this brand or specific collection feel free to comment.

I looked at their dressers this past weekend and the SA said that there are magnets that hold in the drawers (good for safety if it tilts), so when you initially pull on the drawer, you probably feel a tug. Also, the drawers have a mechanism to prevent them from slamming on fingers, so you may feel a little resistance when you close them right before they are shut all the way. Both of these features are typically only found in higher quality furniture.
