I saw one public pool saying kids who weren't potty trained weren't allowed to swim in the pool. Is this common for all pools? I know that swim diapers only keep in poo, not pee. But not sure if I can take my son to pools at hotels on vacation without offending people. Thanks!

Hotel's usually allow it. I belong to a private swim club. It doen't allow any child not potty trained to use anything but the baby pool. It totally stinks. Currantly our baby pool has been closed for 3 days due to a problem. Still they babies may not go in any other pool there.

Our private pool allows swim diapers. Every pool we have been too has allowed them in all pools.

thanks, everyone! I don't see why a few hotel pools fuss about swim diapers. It's not as if all the other kids in that pool are going inside to pee! we all know what some kids do in swimming pools!

Our pool allows swim diapers. We would not have joined if they didn't. My mother's private pool does not. They even frown on young children going in b/c they are afraid of the child having an accident (it's an over 55 community). So needless to say, when we visit my mother we go to public pools there that allow swim diapers.
