Cash Register

Can anyone recommend a good toy cash register? I know *I'd* prefer the Haba one, but I'm sure my son would prefer something electronic.

My kids like it. You can turn the little crank and the numbers change. When you lift the lid portion (where all the numbers are) and enter the drawer, it lets out a soft "ding" sound.

However, we only paid $8 for it at a local Waldorf school rummage sale. I am not sure I could swallow full price on it. I like ours though. DS has gotten quite a bit of play out of it.

We don't own it, but at the PBK store the other day my girls ran to the one they had out. (and started playing on the "computer" :) ) I have been wondering if we need one now! It was silver and kind of cute.

it was DS #1 and now DS#2 plays with it.
My guess is that we have had it for at least 7 years - and it works great.
makes beeping noise when you push the buttons.

We have this one too (not the fully electronic one). It is from Learning Resources.

We have the Haba one and DD really enjoys it. She makes little noises when she pushes the buttons herself sometimes. We also have some little wooden credit cards (I think from Viola) and she slides them down against of the top where it opens and the side, like she is swipping a card at the store. DD is 2.5 and her 5.5 yo cousins (boy and girl) run to it when they come over too. It does make a loud thunk when they figure out how to slam the lid down.

we have this one and my boys love it! They love the scanner and the microphone/loudspeaker so they can call for price checks etc.!

We had an older PBK one from my first DS and it was loved and used to death! He too loved the microphone feature!
