Beco- 4th generation or Butterfly?

I tried on the Butterfly and really liked it but I wasn't sure what made the 4th Generation ones different except for $30ish. I'm all for saving money so I am interested in comparing the 2. Thank you!!

from what I understand Beco had to stop making the 4th Gens because it was too similar to another carrier with a patent. So the Butterfly has a slightly different strap configuration and also has the infant insert -- probably a few other side-by-side differences. I bought a 4th Gen when the Butterflies first came out because I LOVED the fabric, but alas my DD did not like it, so it hangs in the closet.

That would make sense on why I can't find the 4th Generation ones anywhere! I wasn't sure if I should be looking harder or just settle for the Butterfly. Thank you so much! You saved me from crazily searching. :)

I bought a Butterfly and am waiting for it to come. There were so many great choices out there!
