We have hard water, will Charlie's Soap work? Some reviews I've read on diaper pin, suggest that it won't work in hard water. The Charlie's Soap web site FAQ suggests adding CLR to wash occasionally - I'm not adding that stuff to my clothes!!

So, will it work or not for us??

I have hard water and it works just fine. You might try calling them and speaking to them about it. They are very helpful and you talk to the owners.

I have hard water and have been using Charlies Soap for 2 years. It works fine. I do think our whites are a little dingier than before, but I only notice when I see a white item next to a new white item. Since most of our whites are DH's and the boys' socks, I don't really care!

I have hard water (we do have a softener) and I was terribly disappointed in Charlies Soap. Our whites turned gray within a matter of a few weeks and, even after switching back to my old detergent and even trying bleach, they won't get white again.
