I'm devastated. http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/story?id=4614281&page=1

I'm not sure if my brother knows yet (the one w/ pancreatic cancer). Randy hadn't responded to my last couple emails, read Ron's blog since 6/19 or posted on his own blog since 6/26. I had a terrible feeling all day yesterday and talked about it w/ dh and my mom.

So sad. My thoughts are with his family. And yet...

... I feel lucky that this remarkable man faced his death so beautifully and shared it. While it's unfair that his family lost him too soon, had he lived to a ripe old age, the rest of us probably would never have been inspired by his words of wisdom. I hope that will provide some comfort to his family.

I live under a rock due to my son's autism and ADHD. I often feel as if we have no hope and that our entire family is living a life senstence of despair. I had never seen the lecture or the Diane Sawyer interview until now. I have placed some quotes from the lecture on my refrigerator and on my computer screen saver. I know that it is often said that there must be some good that comes from something so bad. I am sorry that I am on the receiving end of the good, but am still ever grateful for the hope that this man has brought my family. I wish his wife and children peace.

May we all take the inspiration he gave us and channel it to live our dreams...and may he rest in peace.

This is so sad. He was such an inspiration. I myself at 44 are a PC survivor and it saddens me to read about others that are not as lucky as I am. God bless him and his family.
