DH is turning 40 and I was sweating over the idea of throwing him a party. I'm really bad at this kind of thing. So I was relieved when we decided to go to Italy for his birthday rather than have a party. We're visiting DH's family just before we go away (they're looking after DS) and now MIL wants to go out with several family friends for DH's birthday, and it's to be a surprise. She wants to do something special at the dinner and asked me for ideas - Eeeek. I have no idea.
At previous significant events, FIL's 65th, wedding of friends, people sent DH photos of the person and he made a short funny trailer of their lives. But he can't do his own.
I really need some ideas. Please help!
