Which site is the legit one for getting your credit report for free?

Is it http://www.annualcreditreport.com/ ?

I think it is, but I want to be sure before I give my SS# :)

Thanks! But now I realize that it doesn't give you your score, just the report...unless you pay. Hmmmm.

i think the gov one is a .gov site.
when i last poked around looking for it, several of the pay sites also had links to the actual free gov site.
i've heard 2 different things as to wether the gov one gives you your actual fico or not- some say no..i thought i remembered getting my fico from them.
