I finally decided to purchase the Valco Trimode and, just as I was about to click the button to process my order, I realized that the weight limit is 45 pounds. I know that the BJCE and the MBUS max out much higher so I'm wondering if the Valco will not last me very long.

My DS is 4 months old and 17 pounds, meaning that right now he is big and tall. I have no idea how old an average child is when they reach 45 pounds (maybe I'll need a double by then).

Thanks!

DS is in 99% and is 3 yo and is 40 lbs. I think 45 is WAY more than needed.

Nathan will be 5 in November and weighs 44lbsish ( 44 ish tall also) Hes been haning in the 90th for height and 80+ for weight. If that gives you a size guide

My 6 yo dd weighs 41. Her 3 yo sister weighs 39. I just got the Mac Triumph which goes to 50lbs because that way they can both use it. :) Neither of them rides very much but for long day trips I wanted one w/a higher limit.

My DD is 4 weighs 33 lbs. and is approx. 40-41 inches tall. She is 50% for weight, and 75% for height. Just as a guideline. I think you will be fine with Valco, my DD doesn't even really use the stroller much anymore.

Sounds unanimous. Valco it is! Now I just have to pick a color. I'm deciding between the stone for $400 minus 15% or the Sonic Navy (just like the plum) for $300. I'm just not sure that my color preference is worth $100 since I don't absolutely love either color. Then I have to pick out a lightweight stroller other than a Maclaren!
