I missed the Olympic Opening Ceremony which I heard
was fantastic. I would love a DVD copy of the Opening Ceremony
to show the kids.

I searched online and they are replaying it online at many
websites.

Is this possible:
Can I put a DVD disc in my computer and tape the Opening
Ceremony from an online source? Is that possible?

Obviously, I'm not a computer person so I'll have to find
someone to do it for me (if it's possible).

Thanks for your help!

Dont' know the answer to your question, but I'm sure at the end of the Olympics they'll sell a DVD with it.

Just looked up 2004 Olympics, the DVD set is expensive.

Do you know someone who taped it on their DVR?

They might be able to make a copy for you if they have a device to transfer it to a DVD. I don't know how to do it, but I know it can be done :)

Corie -

Where did you find it online? I was only able to find short clips, but not the whole ceremony.

Thanks!

No, I'm pretty sure you can't. Like a PP said, you will be able to order it on DVD. It is worth paying for, it was an amazing opening ceremony.

Maybe I made a mistake? I didn't actually pull up the clips. I just
did a search for a replay of the Olympic Opening Ceremony and I
assumed it was the entire thing.

I was able to view the ceremonies on msnbc's site - I think it was complete, but maybe it cut off a few minutes at the beginning. Definitely worth checking out - it was incredible!

Yup, it can be done! :) When the Miami Heat were in the championships, my cousin tivoed one of the games for us when we went out of town and gave it to us in a dvd when we came back.
