Best deal on washable markers

I asked DS's new teachers at preschool if they needed any school supplies. With all the back-to-school sales on, I thought I could pick up some things that the classroom might need. We don't have a list of school supplies to buy, but I often ask the teachers if there's anything they would like and then I see if I can find a sale. They said washable markers. Any great deals on markers, preferably Crayola?? Target? Staples?

I was in Target the other day and they have their back to school stuff out. Some of the prices were just crazy low. I'd check there first.

Usually $2 per box on sale, at least that's what I paid last week in Staples, but price matched from Toys R Us.

I know one of the stores has 'em for $2 this week.

I got boxes of washable crayola markers (8 pack) for $1.50 per box at Target a few weeks ago. That's the cheapest I've seen them go for so far this year.

Thank you. I'll make a run to Target tomorrow - it's the closest to me. I plan to get several packs, so the cheaper the better. I also think I have a Target back to school coupon. Kind of annoyed as I was at Target today, but I didn't think to ask the teacher until I picked DS up.

I just looked in my Sunday papers and Crayola washable markers are $1.50 for an 8 count box again this week. :)

(They had Crayola brand $2 a couple of weeks ago. Try checking their ad online every week because they are discounting back-to-school supplies right now.)

I got a whole box of markers from Lakeshore Learning - the don't come in a package but in a big box. With a BOGO coupon they worked out to be about a dollar for a set of 12 (I think). I got it for DD's birthday and put one set in each of the goody bags. And the markers are adverstised as being the most washable markers ever.
