crib skirt for ikea crib

I would like to know if anyone has experience using a crib skirt with an IKEA gulliver crib or one of their cribs with a slatted base. I've heard some posts say that standard crib skirts may need to be modified to fit these cribs. I notice too that IKEA doesn't show the crib set up with any skirt either. Any comments on whether that is true or not? I want to purchase a skirt at pottery barn kids.

Save your money as the style of IKEA's cribs are such that using a crib skirt is nearly impossible. Plus, IME, when the crib mattress is on its lowest setting, there is hardly any room visible underneath the crib for the skirt.
