Where can I get tights/trouser socks in some different colors?

Ok, don't laugh, but it gets cold here quickly in the fall. And upon the advice of another poster (and based on what I've seen in magazines), I should be able to wear colored tight/trouser socks with my jeans and flats for a while when it's chilly outside. However, where can I find them? I checked Target the other day but they don't have any fall stuff out yet and frankly, I've never been very impressed with their hosery department.

Anyone know where I can find some? I'm not exactly sure what colors I'm looking for. I'm hoping I know when i see them.

When I lived in a cold environment I bought all my socks at Nordstroms. Their knee socks were great for under jeans.

Sternlein makes really comfortable and durable tights and socks.

The department store near me (Belk) has a big selection in their hosiery section. They have a whole wall of Hue brand tights, trouser socks, etc.
