She isn't as shrill as she normally sounds.

Yes, but I don't know when. (We have a bunch of episodes tivo'd (tivoed?) and then xferred to dvd in a random order.)
My kids refer to the newer voice as "the good Ruby" and the older one as "the bad Ruby."

I don't think I've heard the new Ruby, but the old Ruby was so easy to act out in books. I have a GREAT Ruby voice - for books only, of course! :ROTFLMAO:

Lol I noticed this the other day when DD was watching. I was thinking to myself how funny it was that I knew that! Happy to know I'm not the only one!

Samantha Morton was the first voice of Ruby in the '03 season. She was the psychic 'Minority Report'. Since then it has been another actress.

I can't stand the new voice. Ruby always needs to be a little bossy sounding!!! LOL

oh funny!!!!!!!!! I was thinking the same thing. I much prefer the older voice. More big sister like. For me, that was part of the appeal for her.

And have you noticed Max's speech is developing...it funny because Max's speech development is mirroring my DS...now if we could only send Ming Ming from the WonderPets to speech therapy-I volunteer to provide therapy free-as an SLP I don't think it's a great idea to model speech errors...I know lots of kids have them (it's what keeps me in a job)...but the shows really shouldn't make up a speech error!

OMG....I mentioned this to my kids the other day! I liked it better when he didn't talk.
