We were eating dinner outside when DD suddenly began screaming and crying. She was stung by a wasp on her finger (I'm assuming, since it puffed up and got red shortly thereafter and there was a wasp flying around) I put ice on it for a while and made a paste of baking soda and put it on her finger. We snuggled and read stories until bedtime and she seems fine (no issues breathing or anything). However, just wondering if there is anything else I need to be on the look out for. This is her first sting and she's only 21 months old.

If you were going to get a big allergic reaction, you would have it by now. But I would still call the pediatrician's on call number. I am allergic to bees. Getting a localized reaction like your daughter got is fine. Anaphalaxis (sp?) means not being able to breathe, hives all over etc. I would have given her some Benadryl just to make me feel better I suppose, but the best thing for you to do is to call the pediatrician and see what he/she says.
