Hi all, I have a 6 week old BB and am now a bedsharer. He sleeps between my husband and I in our cal king bed with plenty of room between us and no probs whatsoever. right now we sleep with no covers just a sheet which is quite big. It goes over hubby, makes a U to go below the area ds is in and then up to cover me. what do people do in winter with big comforters? don;t want to risk smothering him? thanks for the info!

DH and I worry about that when our baby is in bed with us too. She usually joins us in our Cal King around 4AM, and I want her to sleep longer.

I don't know if this will work for your DH and you, but we sleep lower (as low as we can go, feet near bottom of bed), and place her higher so that the comforter doesn't reach higher than her hips.

We are both pretty short though, so that may not be comfortable for you...

We dress warmer for bed and put a small, safe space heater in our room to keep it warm enough that we don't use comforters. (And that's saying a lot in our house!)
