Does anyone know of any gates that go at the top of the stairs that don't require drilling into the banister? I know some of them come with accessory kits that "strap" to the banister versus drill. Does anyone have any recommendations? We have wall on one side and banister on the other.

These show some of the ways you can attach a wood board to your banister to mount the gate on:

We do too. We ended up buying a Kidco gate, along with some attachments found at this site:

Check out the link for "gate mounting systems." We had to drill into the wall, but not the banister.

We have had ours up for 2+ years now, and it has held up very well.

Also, if you do end up buying from the safe beginnings site, years ago when I bought there were some discounts through some health insurance companies. You might want to do a google search.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I ended up ordering something from Kidco that attaches to the banister and the evenflo top of stair gate. We'll see how it works when it gets here!
