Anyone use iPhoto? Got a question for you...

New-ish to Mac and missing Picasa terribly. I'm just not feeling the iPhoto love. In particular, I'm trying to figure out how to upload pics in a way that doesn't break it up by event - sometimes I won't have emptied my card for 2 months, and iPhoto will end up breaking up my upload into 40 different events. :banghead:

I prefer to just have a single folder with the months listed. Anyone know how to do that - turn off events and name your folder something else?

You can merge the events after you download them by just dragging and dropping one into the other. Have you tried that?
When I upload it usually puts them in 1 event though. There is a little button on the bottom left that says "autosplit events after import". Just make sure that is unchecked.
And then outside of the events you can also create folders by month if that works better for you.
And then on top of that you can also do albums with just your favorites.
Hope you get the hang of it! I really like iphoto actually. :)
