I cannot believe how boring it is, how uninteresting the characters. Anyone else? It used to be my favorite show, but I haven't watched since DD2 was a baby, almost 4 years ago. Just tell me which episode Carter comes back for and I might watch.

I know this is its last season, but this show should have been put out of its misery years ago. Does anyone still like the show?

I like it OK, but not as much as I used to - it is getting tired and some of the story lines are floundering or just plain dumb. You can tell the writers don't really know where to go with it anymore. There's really not much continuity. They do a little story, end it, then move onto something else. I don't feel like they ever follow through with anything - like nothing is ever really resolved, KWIM?

It's probably a little more interesting if you've followed it all along. Going four years without watching pretty much leaves you in the dark. I used to watch General Hospital, but if I watched it now, it wouldn't be the least bit interesting to me. I think ER is pretty much like a soap opera, but you are right. It's getting old. I've watched every season since it started, but don't think I'll really miss it when it's gone.

That funny 'cuz I used to also watch it years ago and loved it! It was more like 6 years ago. It was the one show that friends knew not to call me during. At some point I just stopped watching and have caught an episode here and there over the past couple of seasons and I can't even bare sitting thru one show.

I love watching the reruns on TNT during the day...George Clooney is so dreamy (the original McDreamy!)....and loved Dr.Greene, Carter, Carol Hathaway, Dr. Benton, even Carrie.

The only new characters that I like are Sam and Neela....Luka and Abby seem like such a mess plus she had her baby FF in his carseat way too early!

I'm still watching but the last several seasons have been seriously lame. I've watched from the beginning tho and I've been hoping for years it will rebound. I'm not optimistic that it's going to rebound this last season....but I'll still watch. LOL

I stopped watching it years ago. I actually saw a few minutes last night and I had no idea who half of those people were. Dr. Carter is coming back?

The fact that this is a post makes me smile. Everytime there is a commercial for the show- EVERYTIME my DH says "I can't believe this show is still on".
I was a huge fan in the early years (I was in college- yike! a long time ago) but it's been years since I watched. After dreamy Clooney left it just wasnt' the same....

Was last nights show new? I may have watched since nothing else is new. I've been bored with that show for years. Last year something better was on another network at that time. Love the orginal show too. It seems to go down hill after Mark Greene died.

ER debuted the year I started my pre-med courses. It was must-see TV while we were in medical school - Lucy and I seemed to be on the same rotation schedule and the patient of the week was always something we had just learned about. I CANNOT believe that I have gone from pre-med student to a board certified specialist in private practice in the time this show has been on the air. And I still haven't met a real-life doc that looks anything like George Clooney!
