Is $15 a class reasonable? (The studio I am looking at also offers discounts for sets of classes purchased) Just wondering what some of you are paying...

Don't know where in NY you are, but around the NYC area $15 per class is bordering on cheap! I'm paying $18 or $19 per class now just across the river...I think that Yogaworks here in NYC is at least $20.

I pay $18/class, and if I buy a set of classes, it comes to $15/class. I don't live in a big city.

It's $14 per class in the Chicago suburbs. $12 per class if you buy a block of 10.

I live outside of Philly and $15/class is the norm, sometimes cheaper if you purchase a mutli class packet. Do you belong to a gym? At my gym, yoga class are no additional charge and there are some wonderful instructors. I'm a yoga nut and haven't been doing it as much b/c of all day morning sickness. I miss it so much :(

16 classes cost $217 (so a bit more than $13 a class). That is for prenatal yoga at a private studio.

I usually pay $10 per class if I pre-pay, otherwise $12. But a lot of other studios in my area offer classes at $15. I think $15 is reasonable.

I used to belong to a gym and was a yoga nut, many years ago. I let my gym membership lapse, and figure taking classes at a studio may be more economical. Thanks for the feedback on the pricing!

I think it depends on how strong the yoga program is at your gym. Maybe you could get a trial membership for a couple days at a gym and take a class or two. My gym membership is $58/month but I was taking at least 2 yoga classes a week in addition to using the other facilities. So in respect to yoga, it basically paid for itself.
