I got a crockpot recipe here about a year ago that was for chicken tacos.
I think it was black beans, salsa, taco seasoning packet and chicken in the crock, and then you put the final product in tortillas with cheese and sourcream. Easy and yummy.
I have no taco seasoning though and I am not sure what spices to throw together on my own instead of running to the store. Chili powder, garlic powder???

I am such a rookie cook that you would laugh. Any basic suggestions are welcome.

Allrecipies.com has taco seasoning recipes. I have used it when we were out.

This is probably way to late for you, but I usually toss these together (you'll have to adjust your amounts to taste)

Chili powder
Cumin
salt
pepper
cayenne
paprika

maybe garlic powder. Usually I prefer to use fresh garlic, but if I can't for some reason, then I will add garlic powder.

If you are really desperate, chili powder, salt and pepper will probably be fine in a crockpot recipe that already has salsa in it. JMO - I am definitely not a master chef!
